Who we are

CADLAP LLC is a Delaware limited liability company. Production is led by a civil engineer and run by a dedicated team of survey drafters whose entire workload is US survey drawings: boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, mortgage surveys, plats and as-builts. We are not a general CAD shop that also does surveys. Survey drafting is the whole company.

How we work

• Specialists only. Drafters train on a survey-specific standards program covering monuments and boundary evidence, the 2026 ALTA/NSPS requirements, and state drafting conventions, before touching client work.
• Your standards, enforced by tooling. Client layer standards, templates and field-code dictionaries are set up once and applied automatically, so consistency does not depend on memory.
• QC is a separate pair of eyes. Every drawing is checked against its source documents by someone who did not draft it.
• Flags, not guesses. Anything ambiguous in the record or the field data is marked on the sheet for the surveyor's decision.
• Engineering under the hood. We build our own production tooling, from automated drawing QC scanners to layer standardization and plat geometry checks, because repeatable quality is a software problem as much as a staffing one.

What we believe about this work

A survey drawing is a professional document with legal consequences, not an illustration. The drafting partner's job is to make the licensed surveyor faster without ever making the decision that belongs to the license. That line is bright for us: we compute, we resolve, we present, we flag, and the call is always yours.
