Data security and confidentiality
Survey files are client files: names, addresses, transactions, sometimes litigation. We built the production process so that protecting them is structural, not a promise.
How your data is handled
| Job anonymization | Projects enter production under job numbers. Drafters work on the technical content without client-identifying context, and commercial details are never visible on the floor. |
|---|---|
| Controlled environment | Production machines are centrally managed and hardened: endpoint controls, restricted transfer channels, and monitored workstations. Files move through one managed channel, not personal accounts. |
| Document redaction | Where documents carry information production does not need, identifying details are redacted before the job reaches a drafter. |
| Strict separation | No client's work is ever shown to, reused for, or discussed with another client. Portfolio samples are published only with identifying information removed. |
| Your ownership | Deliverables produced under your quotation are yours. We claim no rights over your drawings or your data. |
| NDA | Executed on request before any files move. |
The simplest guarantee: our business depends entirely on surveyors trusting us with client files overnight. One leak would end it. The incentives and the process point the same way.
Common questions
Will anyone know we outsource?
Not from us. We sign NDAs on request, we never name clients, our portfolio uses samples with identifying information removed, and deliverables carry your title block, not ours.
Who inside CadLap sees our projects?
The drafter assigned to the job and the QC reviewer, working under job numbers. Client identity, contact details and commercial terms are not shared with production staff.
Can you work under our NDA?
Yes. Send your standard NDA and we execute it before the trial job if you prefer.
What happens to our files after delivery?
Working files are retained only as long as needed to support revisions, then archived or destroyed per your instruction. Tell us your retention preference and it goes in your client file.
